JAILBREAK FOR IOS 4.0 FOR MC MODELS (TETHERED)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

* An iPhone 3G[S] or iPod Touch 2G MC or iPod Touch 3-- new bootrom
* 3.1.2 already installed or 3.1.2 installed via SHSH blobs. <-- Broken blackra1n'd devices will work. (Especially if Spirit messed you up!).
* Payload Pwner-r6
* sn0wbreeze V1.7
* iBooty V1.5
* 4.0 firmware downloaded.
* iTunes 9.2 Installed

STEP A : Pwning iBoot

I : Download this easy tool--> Payload Pwner-r6 // It will help you create the payload.

II : Extract it to a directory and run Pwner.exe

**SAVE THE PAYLOAD WHERE iBooty is.**

STEP B : Making a Custom IPSW

I : Download sn0wbreeze V1.7

II : USE EXPERT MODE!

III : In General, Checkmark "Disable NOR Flash" <-- THIS IS ESSENTIAL!!!!

IV : Build it. It will be on your Desktop.

**CUSTOM BOOT LOGOS THAT ARE MADE IN sn0wbreeze WILL NOT WORK ON NEW BOOTROMS!**

*Mac Users : PwnageTool does not have this option. I don't think it will ever be in there. Use a Windows Virtual Machine or friends PC to create your firmware.*

STEP C: iBooty Prep.

Most of you know of the utility "iBooty" that ih8sn0w made for Aki_nG.

It will work as long as you place all of the correct files there.

I : Download iBooty GUI (iBooty V1.5) and Extract it.

II : Extract your Custom IPSW created by sn0wbreeze with winRAR or another un-archiver.

III : Grab the kernelcache and bring it into the same folder as ibooty.
Also grab iBEC from the folder "Firmware\dfu".
Aswell as DeviceTree from the folder "Firmware\all_flash\all_flash.n88ap.production\DeviceTree.n88ap".

IV :
* Rename your Kernel 4.0-Custom to "kernel.40"
* Rename your iBEC 4.0-Custom to "ibec.40"
* Rename your DeviceTree 4.0-Custom to "devtree.40"
***MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE .img3/.dfu/etc extensions!***

- iboot.payload <-- Created with Payload Pwner.
- devtree.40 <-- Grabbed from Custom IPSW made by sn0wbreeze.

STEP D: Restoring to 4.0 + Booting

*MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON 3.1.2 WHEN DOING THIS*

I : Run iBooty and Select "Prepare Device for Custom Firmware". Make sure that your device is in Recovery Mode (The one with the iTunes Connect Logo). Run the Process and if you see the image, you can proceed!

II : Now open iTunes and restore to the custom ipsw.

***WHEN DONE, YOUR DEVICE WILL GO INTO RECOVERY MODE. IT WONT BOOT.***

STEP E : Booting

I : Just Re-Run iBooty and select "Boot It". If all goes well it will boot!

UNTETHERED JAILBREAK

This is definetly AWESOME news!!! The untethered jailbreak for 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 the newer models are UNtethered!!! So the ipod touches 2g mc models and 3g, and iphone 3gs new bootrom are finally untethered and jaibroken and untethered. But, this jailbreak DOES NOT unlock your iphone. If you are currently jailbroken and tethered you will have to restore before you use this.

first) go to spiritjb.com
second) select your computer os (Mac or windows)
thrid) download the file
Fourth) connect your ipod/iphone
fifth) press the jailbreak button
sixth) your ipod/iphone screen should appear saying that its restoring
seventh) This type of void picture will pop up on your ipod/iphone. When itunes pops up trying to sync it, cancel it.
eighth) your ipod/iphone will boot up, and on the second page of your springboard there will be cydia there.

How to play local wifi anywhere on your ipod touch

You will need:
Mywi

First) Open up MyWi
Second) Name your wifi
Third) Setup up a WPA key (Optional)
Fourth) Turn on wifi tethering
Fifth) If you go to settings>wifi and you will detect the connection you created
Sixth) Go onto your game and play on local wifi with the other people!!


MESSAGE: You can only browse on safari or other stuff if you are using an iphone 2g, 3g, or 3gs. If you are using an ipod touch you can only use local wifi to play with another person.

Voice Control for non 3gs and non ipod touch 3g models

You will need:
installous
appflow

First) Go to safari
Second) type in the adress bar: voicecontrol.tk[it will bring you to mediafire to download a file]
Third) Click the "Click here to download" button. (an ad will probably appear just close it)
Fourth) it should look like the installous download room.
Fifth) Press install
Sixth) when its finished go to homescreen.
Seventh) you will see a voice control app.
Eighth) Go to app flow and set voice control to double tap
Ninth) go to homescreen and double-tap and it will show up.

PS downoad it ON YOUR IPOD TOUCH NOT ON THE COMPUTER!!!!


errrrrm, if u upgraded installous (to the nice blue browsing one) just download install0us (notice the zero instead of the "O") u will see an adress bar, just navigate to the website, and just keep going with the instructions.

How to Jailbreak ipod touch 2.2.1

You will need:
Redsn0w 1.0

First) Put your ipod/iphone in DFU mode
Second) Connect it to your computer
Third) Open redsn0w
Fourth) It should look like cmd, and it should detect your device in DFU mode.
Fifth) After some codings appear, a picture of a pine apple should appear.
Sixth) This image saying installing Jalbreak data should appear
Seventh) its done

PS This jailbreak has a 50/100 chance it will work, upgrade to 3.1.2 to get an easier jailbreak with blackra1n.

How to get flash on your ipod/iphone

First) Go to safari and go to www.ipod.livebuster.com
Second) go to the "How to" part and add that page to your bookmark
Third)Edit the bookmark and delete the http://iphone.livebuster.com/#_
Fourth) go to a video where flash player is needed
Fifth) go to the bookmark
Sixth) it should bring you to an ad, then click to connect.
Seventh) your video should start to convert, then you can play it.

How to reboot a blackra1ned tethered ipod/iphone

First) reboot the device
Second) the recovery logo should show up
Third) Wait untill itunes opens saying that it detected an ipod touch in recovery blah blah. (if itunes does not open just move on)
Fourth) Close itunes
Fifth) Run blackra1n
Sixth) Press the "Make it ra1n" button.
Seventh) Geohot's face should appear on your device. This should take some time
Eighth) Your lockscreen should appear, Slide to unlock it, and it will be rebooted and you still have everything you had.

How to get Cydia paid apps for free (Most of them)

First) open cydia>manage>Sources then edit, then add the following: www.sinfuliphonerepo.com

How to put your ipod/iphone in recovery mode

This is pretty simple

First) Slide to power off
Second) hold the power button
Third) While holding the power button, connect to the computer, and then the recovery mode logo should appear.

How to change the "slide to unlock" text

You will need the following things installed on your device:

iFile
sbsettings

first) open iFile
Go to: System>Library>coreservices>Springboard.app>English.iproj>stringboard.strings
second) tap the edit button, it will scroll down to the end of the page.
third) go to the top of the page, then scroll down untill you find the following: "AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = "slide to unlock"
Fourth) Change the text in the quotes LEAVE THE QUOTES!!
fifth) tap save
Sixth) open SBSettings and respring

How to put your device in DFU mode

In this tuturial i will show you how to put your ipod/iphone in dfu mode

first) hold the power button and the home button until your screen goes black.
second) release the power button and keep holding the home button until your computer detectes your device.

PS it is recommended that you plug in your device so that you know when to stop holding the power button.

How to get Cracked appstore apps

You will need a jailbroken Device to proceed.

First) Go to cydia
Second) go to Manage>Sources and add the following source: cydia.hackulo.us
Third) It will load the packages
Fourth) Tap the hackulo source
Fifth) Scroll down until you see a installous package
Sixth) install it
Seventh) go to the home screen.
Eighth) Tap the green icon.
Ninth) Just search the app you want.
Tenth)Select the app, then tap the Downloads part.
Eleventh) Choose the source, example appscene.
Twelvth) put in the code (If you chose appscene)then press download.
13) A green button will appear saying download, and a red one saying install.
14) Press install. This will install the app as soon as the download finishes.
15) After its downloaded and installed, go homescreen, and it will be there!

PS If you put your device on sleep mode wile downloading the app, this might interrupt it.

Downgrade 3.1.3 MC model to 3.1.2 and jailbreak.

This is how to downgrade ipod touch 3.1.3 mc model.

First) Download 3.1.2 IPSW. (search on google)
Second) Connect your ipod touch to your computer
Third) Click on "Summary" then press Shift then click restore (Mac users Option restore)
Third) Browse for the IPSW, then press open.
Fourth) Then it will do its thing.

The Jailbreak
This jailbreak is tethered for MC models. This means you will not be able to shut the ipod all the way off or let the battery die without having to reconnect with Blackra1n.
First)Go to blackra1n.com
Second) down below the image of geohot with the flying iphones, there will be two images, one of appple and another one of windows. Click on the image that represents your Computer software.
Third) A download will automaticly start.
Fourth) Plug your ipod to the computer
Fifth) Run blackra1n and click the big "Make it Ra1n" button.
Sixth) An image of Geohot will appear on your ipod, now just wait untill it does its thing.
Seventh) When that is done, it will go to the lockscreen, just slide to unlock, then swipe a page to the right. there will be this black drop on the left top corner.
Eighth) Tap it, you will see cydia and rock, tap both, then press install.
Ninth) Reboot your ipod, by slide to power off.
Tenth) Turn it on, you will see a restore logo, do not restore, but click the make it ra1n button again.
Eleventh) You will see this "Rock your Phone" logo from rock installer.

You are Jailbroken! Congratz!
